About Hue & Hive

Meet Sarah and discover the skills and gifts she brings to your life through her intuitive nature and genuine love of helping others reconnect with themselves and the world around them.

I’m Sarah Hoffman, and for more than a decade, I have been helping people become unstuck.

After experiencing some low points early on in my adulthood, I’ve found that the trauma and losses we go through, along with many other reasons, can lead us to feel stuck - in our homes, in our lives, and in ourselves.

Through these pivotal life experiences and my training in Marriage and Family Therapy (and other extensive clinical training), I’ve developed a unique blend of services that empower clients to integrate their true selves both internally and externally, helping them break free from feeling stuck.

QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • M.A. in Counseling Psychology with Emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Clinical Counseling, and Depth Psychology

  • Stylecore Certified Image Consultant and Color Analyst

  • KonMari Consultant in Training (certification pending)

  • Center for Group Studies, New York City, NY trainee (since 2011) candidate for Certificate in Modern Group Leadership

I believe in supporting people in their jouney toward true self-expression

Drawing on Marie Kondo's popular principles and additional training and certifications, I integrated the art of decluttering and organizing into my offerings to help clients create a harmonious environment that supports good mental health and physical well-being.

My background as a real estate broker, photographer, and contractor on my personal remodels has helped me hone my skills, leading me to a high level of expertise in creating functional, beautiful living environments. These experiences and career-building skillsets have allowed me to see spaces and personal style from holistic and aesthetic viewpoints.

Combining my therapeutic background with these industry-related fields, I’ve cultivated a place at Hue & Hive that helps bring style, order, and a profound sense of self to your life and within your spaces.

When Sarah is not helping others revive themselves & their spaces, she enjoys so many hobbies

I genuinely love organizing for my friends and family–it’s my form of therapy! I love to walk anywhere and everywhere–on my own, with my dog, family, and especially with my camera in hand. Nature and architecture bring me joy. I can never pass up an opportunity to love on an animal, cook a good meal, listen to a great podcast or read an amazing story.

You can typically find me connecting with friends in person or on the phone, traveling with my husband and our son, and finding any opportunity to learn something new and be introduced into someone else’s world.

“True Belonging never asks us to change who we are. True belonging requires us to be who we are.”

Some fun details about Sarah

  • I love the sound of silence & the spaces in between.

  • A wardrobe staple of mine: overalls. And if I have to get even more specific, corduroy overalls.

  • Arranging flowers until they fill the spaces just right is my form of zen.

  • You’ll find me reading anywhere from 2-6 books at a time. Ask me for a recommendation!

  • Anything that brings me closer to the natural world brings me happiness. I love birds, trees, and open windows that bring fresh air into my spaces.

Now that you know a little about me, let’s talk about how I can support you.
